Snake River through Shelley
Snake River Float Trip Information
The River:
This scenic 7-mile float trip starts below Gem Lake Dam and ends at North Bingham Park. The river is mostly calm with two small rapids. The first section of rapids has fun little lava rock islands to explore. Much farther downstream, the last rapid has a clear chute on the right side. For all rapids, paddle hard and straight to stay upright.
Trip Duration:
Plan for up to 4 hours for the entire trip, including shuttle ride, safety talk, and float time. Be sure to arrive 10 minutes or before your departure time. There are no restrooms at the put in so use the bathrooms before boarding the bus.
